Dubai Creek separates the city towns to Deira and Bur Dubai Since 4000 years ago, the place has been an influential element in the city’s growth, first attracting settlers here to fish and pearl dive and small villages grew up alongside the creek and the Bani Yas tribe settled in the area beginning the modern era. The Dhow Wharfage is located along Dubai Creek’s bank and are still used by small traders from across the Gulf, some of the dhows are aged 100 years. Counting the most amazing structures nearby the Deira side of the Creek are the Deira Twin Towers, the old Dubai Creek Tower, Sheraton Dubai Creek, National Bank, and Chamber of Commerce. On the opposite side of Al Maktoum Bridge along Dubai Creek is Dubai Creek Park, one of the biggest outdoor stop in Dubai.
People can watch cargo being loaded and unloaded on and off the dhows, ride a dhow where you can gain insight into the life of these traditional sailors. This tiny remnant of Dubai’s traditional economy is still a bustling and fascinating place to wander around.
People can either take a trip on one of the many dhows that have been restored as tourist cruise boats or take an abra between the ferry points on the creek’s Bur Dubai and Deira banks.
The creek is home to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, containing a 18-opening competition green, clubhouses, private improvement and the Park Hyatt inn.
